Blizzard entertainment also announced today the Cataclysm Classic Gold subscriptions have decreased from 10 million at the end of September, to 9.6 million by December 31. Even with the decline it remains the most popular subscription-based massively multiplayer online online role-playing game, according to the company.
Additionally, Activision announced that the Skylanders franchise has now earned over $1 billion in retail since its launch in the year 2011. This is significantly higher that the 500 million total revenue that the company reported earlier in the month, but the figure was based on sales from the United States.
Blizzard Entertainment also updated its numbers for sales of WoW Cataclysm Classic which revealed that the dungeon-crawler had sold in (i.e. delivered) more than 12 million units at the end of December which is up from 10 million sold the previous year.
WoW Cataclysm Classic: The Burning Crusade Walkthrough
It's been 2 years and a half since Blizzard launched WoW Cataclysm Classic on a gaming community that seemed ready to get it. While other massively multiplayer games did well prior to when WoW was released on store shelves in November 2004 none of them had experienced anything close to the massive popularity in WoW Cataclysm Classic. As one of the largest hit games to hit the shelves in PC games history offline or online, WoW Cataclysm Classic has gained a life that is its own, growing its global subscriber base to eight million users over the past two years.
Unfortunately for those who played WoW and then escaped the addictiveness, Blizzard has managed to release four more compact discs brimming with exciting contents in The Burning Crusade, the first fully-featured expansion to WoW Cataclysm Classic. The list of additions to The Burning Crusade is a rollcall of features that you would have expected to see including new races, new quest zones and a new profession an increased level cap and more.
This brief introduction to The Burning Crusade is intended to provide you with some new features in the game. The quantity of new content included in the game specifically in the Outlands is greater than we could possibly be able to cover in a brief space. However, should you be looking for some of the latest surprises within the expansion, you are welcome to continue reading!
Jewelcrafting
The latest profession available in The Burning Crusade is called jewelcrafting. If you plan to take it further and advance your skills you'll need to align it with mining as jewelcrafting requires a lot of stone and ore. If you're planning to move the character of a higher level to jewelcrafting, you'll need to spend a lot of time looking in low-level zones for tin and copper that you can make yourself more skilled or purchase it from Auction House.
At a lower level the jewelcrafting profession is mostly focused on the creation of necklaces and rings, which only a few other professions can make. They can be made and used by you or sold to your colleagues or sold at cheap WoW cataclysm Gold an auction house. They aren't soul-bound and don't require any knowledge of jewelcrafting to wear them as some of the items in engineering have. Some of them are exclusive but when you find a particular band that you like and decide to make 2 of it, you'll likely only be only able to wear one at the same time.
